Symphonion

I was going through old pictures and I found a picture I took over spring break of my grandmother's Symphonion. A Symphonion is like a music box; it plays beautiful music. You just stick a record in (sorry, no Justin Bieber songs those who love JB), and it plays them. My favorite record was "Rose Dancer".

Just wanted to tell you guys about that!

Summer Is In!

It's getting to be summer when you can have those wonderful and hot summer days when you need to be dressed appropriately; you don't want to be wearing long pants if it's 80 degrees outside! So I have prepared a Summer Style Guide so you know what to wear and how to wear it.

Outfit #1: On a hot summer day this outfit will make you look casual yet very stylish: A plaid jacket with a white or grey tank underneath. Denim shorts and combat boots will give you the edgy touch but also make the outfit a bit more casual. Add sunglasses and a over-the-shoulder bag and you're ready to go for a walk or hang with your friends. A bold necklace can bring it a bit more dressier if that's how you want it.

Here is one example of the look you're going for; it looks effortless but well thought out.

If you're still not persuaded you can pull off the look you will now; with the plaid jacket tucked in it looks more dressy but the sunglasses tone it down more.

Outfit #2: One word: Colored Jeans. Okay I'm wrong, it's two words but colored jeans make life so much easier. There are going to be those cold evenings in summer when you're at the beach or hanging out on a patio and it gets really cold; thats when you bring a pair of jeans to change into. The look is any color jeans and a black jacket or blazer, maybe with a v-neck tee underneath. To spice it up a bit you can add a floral scarf or if you'd rather tone it down a solid color scarf. You can wear flats or lace up black boots, whatever suits you best.

Imgres-4

The color blue you see in the picture is a very popular color for your jeans because they go well with black. Electric green is not a good color to wear with a black blazer becuase it pops out too much and takes away from everything else.

Imgres-3

Graphic tees go well with colored jeans as well and can make it a bit more casual, especially if you pair it with black boots.

Outfit #3: Sometimes skirts are so much easier than pulling out the skinny jeans, especially in summer or spring. Floral skirts add a pop of color paired with high brown heels, or black or brown sandals. Wearing a solid colored cami with a jean jacket or nice little wrap. Long hoop earrings and long, draping, necklaces add a touch of chic.

Here is one example, simple but daring.

Brown boots match floral skirts nicely and kind of give it a country girl take but gives it a nice sassy touch.

One last picture! Do you notice the bangles on the wrist? It matches the heels and complements it nicely. The orange and yellow looks very springish/summerish and is very flowy which looks so nice.

Hope the style guide helps you!

My Thoughts

Warning: DO NOT READ POST IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED READING MOCKING JAY!

I just finished reading Mocking Jay; the third book in the Hunger Games and I hated how it ended! I was team Peeta in the first book, then team Gale in the second book and now I'm confused by what to think! I think Gale was a jerk for abandoning Katniss and leaving to District 2 to have a "fancy job" excuse me for saying this but I think he's a complete idiot for that.

I also think Prim should not have died. And why did Katniss kill President Coin, I don't get it! Anyways, those are just my thoughts.

Actor: Josh Hutcherson (In honor of my friend who is obsessed with him :) He played in Bridge to Teribethia and The Hunger Games!

Are You Team Peeta??? I am!

Movie: Hugo. I love this movie!!! Firstly because it is set in France and I love France and also because it's based off the great book Hugo Cabret! Click here for a synopsis of the book and movie.

Music: One Direction. I usually hate boy bands becuase there are way to many of them (Big Time Rush, Jonas Brothers, etc.) but I love 1D! Click here to listen to my favorite song of there's "What Makes You Beautiful".

DC Cupcakes

I have discovered a really cool tv show DC Cupcakes!!! It's a reality tv show about two sisters who run a cupcake shop and take on projects that are way too big for them!

It's totally motivated me to make cupcakes!!! Hmm... maybe I will...

The Hunger Games

I was, unfortunitly, sick today and didn't feel good at all. Although I didn't feel good, this gave me time to finish The Hunger Games! So I read The Hunger Games in one day! That's a record!

Anyways I can't wait to read the next book Catching Fire! Suzanne Collins wrote the book so well, she's such an inspiration!

My favorite character is probably Prim Rose beacuse she's so loving and delicate! I also love Rue because she seems so flexable because she can fly from tree to tree!

Katniss is also awesome (Catnip :) because she doesn't depend on her family for food; she takes things in her hands and was raising her family for a while when her mother was sick.

Everybody should read the Hunger Games!!!

xoxo, Coga

SPOILER ALERT-DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE HUNGER GAMES: I think it's unfair that Rue has to die! I mean, I know it's called "the Hunger Games" but still! She's 12 and reminds me of Prim! What do you think? Post what you think in the comment box!

Bully

Did you guys here about the new movie Bully?

I just found out my uncle's brother, Lee Hursh produced and made the documentary Bully! Isn't that cool?!

Anyways, unfortunitely I don't think I'll be watching since it's rated R and seems some what violent.

Another cool thing is I'm 4 degrees to Johnny Depp! My uncle knows his brother who knows Johnny Depp or met him, or some thing like that.

Just thought I'd tell you guys that because I thought it was cool!
